Type of botton to start the robot

In our robot we are planning to use a touchscreen to start the program, but we were wondering whether we could use the touchscreen or if we had to use a physical button, please let us know.

Hello our robot has a touch screen on it we want to know if we can place the restart button on the screen and use it by touching the screen? and can we show what victim we detected on screen and not use any leds on robot? Thanks

According to this article, touchscreens were allowed last year.
Has the interpretation of buttons changed in the 2025 rules?

Could you clarify if you can use the screen to restart the robot turn on or start with a button but that the restart is through the screen.

Hello,
you have to use a physical switch/button for starting the robot and for a lack of progress (according to the rule 4.3.10). A touchscreen is not a physical switch/button.
