Where on the field can be a visual victim be located? By this, I am asking if it is always near/at the center of the wall of a tile, or if it can be on two different walls (or even at the very edge of a wall tile).

The location of visual victim is same as heated victim.
Both of the locations you said are ok.
There is no need to fix the height of the floor from the center of the character to 7 cm.
