Video time limit extension

Dear Committee,

We would like to raise a suggestion regarding the duration of the video presentation. The current maximum time limit is 7 minutes; however, in our opinion, it is nearly impossible to convey all the necessary information in a clear and understandable manner within this timeframe.

The required duration strongly depends on several factors, such as the number of team members, the team’s history and how long they have been competing. In addition, the complexity of the robot and the software significantly influence the amount of information that needs to be shared.

In our view, it is important that competing teams have the opportunity to thoroughly present their video content in accordance with the standards described in the regulations.

Based on the above, we would like to propose extending the time limit to a maximum of 10 minutes.

Thank you for your feedback and suggestion regarding the video presentation!

We understand that teams have a lot of information they would like to share, especially when there are many members or a long competition history. However, the main purpose of the video is to be a short and modern introduction to your team.

We hope that more detailed information and longer conversations will happen directly between teams, helping to build stronger connections and communication. Instead of learning everything from the video, we want the video to spark interest and encourage others to reach out and learn more.

After the competition, we will review all suggestions and feedback, including yours. However, for this year, we will keep the current format. We hope you understand our decision.
