Successful blue tile visits

Hello RCJ Rescue Committee,

Thank you for sharing the 2026 rules.

I have read RCJRescueMaze2026-final.pdf , and I have a question regarding the following section:

5.6.6. Successful blue tile visits (SBV). 30 points are awarded for visiting a blue tile once.

Does this mean that 30 points are awarded when the robot visits a blue tile — that is, when half of the robot enters the blue tile?

If the robot enters a blue tile and then passes through it without stopping, an LOP would occur, but since it visited the blue tile beforehand, would it still be awarded the 30 points?

I posted this question on the Forum on February 15, but I have not yet received a response. I would greatly appreciate it if you could kindly provide an answer.

Best regards,
MASA

Hello RCJ Rescue Committee,

It has been almost two months since my last question, but I still have not received a response. I would appreciate it if you could provide an answer.

Dear Masa,

The score is counted as soon as the robot visits the tile
Also, any further point deductions should be applied on visit as well.

Hello @Mahmoud
Thank you for your response.
The rules state that the robot is required to stop on a blue tile, as follows:

3.2.5.b. If a robot visits a blue tile, it has to stop for 5 consequent seconds before visiting another tile.

If the robot ignores the blue tile and passes through it without stopping, a Lack of Progress (LoP) would occur. However, before that, would it still be judged as a Successful blue tile visit (SBV) and receive 30 points?

Additionally, "successful blue tile visits (SBV) " have been incorporated into the reliability bonus in rule 5.6.7.

Does “successful blue tile visits (SBV)” mean the number of blue tiles that were visited only once?
For example, if the robot visits the same blue tile twice, would that blue tile not be counted as an SBV?

Best regards,
MASA
