Some questions about the server configuration

  1. Will it be ran on a Linux or Windows server?
  2. What compiler (and version) will be used?

I cannot answer the question with certainty.

Our server-client model is currently still under development.
For more specific questions, you can probably best join the Discord server.

Yes, I am on Discord. A number of questions I asked here came directly from the Discord server because they were not being answered there.

It was my understanding that the Discord server was for technical questions pertaining to Erebus and Webots but the RCJ forum pertained to the actual competition (such as the rules, the particular settings such as graphics etc…).

RCJ has stated (for years) that this forum was where ‘official’ clarifications about RCJ competitions were to be made.

you are definitely right about that.

But as things stand we can’t answer the question yet. The platform is currently still under development and exact specifications will follow later.

We will update on this matter as soon as we can.

Hi @Dennisma,

  2. What compiler (and version) will be used? Python(v3.9.13) and Visual C++(v2022) with latest version of OpenCV v4.60

to further clarify;; we have changed it to version of OpenCV v4.55 as almost all teams are using 4.55.
