I was wondering when will the rules for rescue maze 2026 be posted. Most teams are already quite deep into the development proces for new robots and it would be great to know what’s changed for this year.

December is just around the corner and we are still waiting for the 2026 draft version. Our next challenge is in March. Until the final version of the 2026 rules is published, we cannot know how to build the robot and how to programme it. Due to the complexity of the challenge we cannot build a valid solution in few months. I formally request that those responsible for drafting the regulations provide us with information as soon as possible. Thank you.

I know this is the rescue maze category, but this also applies for rescue line, we were told in September that the new rules were just around the corner but we haven’t gotten even a small draft. I don’t want to pressure anyone, I highly respect the committee for their work. But building robots takes time and if there are bigger rule changes it could really impact many teams.

Apologies for the delay, it took us longer than expected to get consensus in some of the rule changes between the committee members to make sure these are exciting changes that achieve the goals of the competition.
