The straightforward answer is that yes, you can use OpenMV for the robot.
We think that OpenMV does not provide a full end-to-end solution for line tracing, hence the decision.
Perhaps more importantly, it would be great if your team can publish the methods for using this technology in presentation posters, blogs, etc! It would be nice for others to also be exposed to such technology.
