We’ve had a couple questions on specifics of the new ball for LWL:
- Will the ball capturing zone shrink?
- Yes, it will be the same as Open League - same size ball, same size ball capturing zone. This will hopefully help dribbler knowledge from Open League and SSL teams (see GitHub - robocup-junior/awesome-rcj-soccer: A curated list of resources relevant to RoboCupJunior Soccer and https://tdpsearch.com/) carry over for LWL teams as well.
- Will the size of the robots shrink?
- We are not planning on it. 18cm size has been challenging for a lot of open league teams and we don’t want to make LWL more difficult to construct than it currently is. We are very interested in community input on this, please post your thoughts and opinions below.
