LoP (Last Visited Checkpoint)

As mentioned in rule 5.5.2:

  1. In the event of a lack of progress, the robot must return to the last visited checkpoint (or the start tile if it never reached a checkpoint). The robot can be installed in any direction.

When making a LoP, the robot must return the last visited checkpoint. I have the doubt if the checkpoint to return must be specifically the last “newest” checkpoint visited (which had not been passed before), or you can cross n times through any checkpoint to reset the point to return to (?).

Best regards,

Hi @juan.torresf!

It does not matter whether the robot has already visited the checkpoint or not, in the case of a Lack of Progress, the robot must always be restarted from the last checkpoint it visited.

For example, if your robot has already found 5 checkpoints but gets stuck after passing through the first checkpoint discovered at the beginning of the round, it must be restarted from there.
