Inquiry regarding the definition and placement of ramps

Dear Committee,

I have 2 questions regarding ramps.

  1. Is the horizontal distance between consecutive ramps a multiple of 30 cm?
Is the horizontal distance of sequential ramps required to be a multiple of 30cm?
According to Rule 3.1.5, ramps are considered a type of “tile,” and tiles are defined as 30×30cm spaces. Does this mean that even a long, continuous slope must consist of individual 30cm ramp units?

  1. Is it allowed to place ramps as shown in the picture below under the rules?
Is it permissible to place ramps as shown in the attached image?
According to the scoring rule in 5.6.9, such a configuration should be regarded as a single ramp unit. However, Rule 3.1.5 states that ramps “are always straight.” These two points appear to be contradictory. Could you please clarify the definition of “straight” in this context and confirm if this placement is allowed.

Best regards,
Shuji
