Are the horizontal bars on the goals still existent in 1vs1 Lightweight? It seems that they weren’t present on the German open in Kassel. Are they going to reappear in 2025?
There are no longer mandatory and were removed in Kassel on the setup day.
what does no longer mandatory mean? Is there a chance that they will be present and do we have to anticipate them?
We did not implement a form rule because we did not want to force field rebuilds. We do not currently anticipate the top bars coming back but depending on what materials are available you may sometimes encounter them. The Hanover EMEA tournament this year will use the same no-top-bar fields from German open. So I’d say make sure you don’t have a huge problem if you encounter top bars but generally expect them not to be there (most times).
