Entry (1vs1) League Kicker Power clarification #soccer-entry-rules-2026

We’ve had the question if the kicker power test for the 1vs1 robots is limited to going to at most the middle of the field, not into the other goal and then back to the middle of the field. The purpose of this rule is the same as the purpose of the motor whitelist: to keep teams competing with Lego, Fischertechnik etc. kits that can only have a “rotating paddle” kicker on the same level.

We accidentality understood the 2025 rules this way an reduced the kicking power. So we can say: a kicker that weak is useless!
Just accelerating the robot and stopping after half a second produces a faster ball.
So we where happy to hear that the rule was misunderstood by us for future reasons even if we lost a couple of games against stronger kicking robots at the GO in Nürnberg.

So please leave the kicking power high or at least in the middle like “shooting from the own goal should not touch the opponents goal”
