Clarification Needed on Rule 2.2.6 Regarding Tiles Under Other Tiles

Dear RoboCup Junior Maze Committee,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to seek clarification on a specific aspect of Rule 2.2.6 as outlined in the latest competition ruleset. The rule states: “Robots must be designed to navigate under tiles that form bridges over other tiles.”

Our team interprets this rule to imply that the competition map may feature different overlapping levels (like a multistory parking lot), with one map positioned directly above another. We would appreciate it if you could confirm whether this interpretation aligns with the intended design of the competition’s maze.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Warm regards,

Steven Chou

Hi @StevenSnowman ,

Yes, that’s one way where there could be overlaps, having one map positioned directly above another. I see that you commented on the other linked post and there is another example of how an under pass might be possible

Thanks,
