Clarifaction of Line Scoring 4.6.11 (2023 Draft)

Hi,

reading the scoring rules the calculation of the evac zone multiplier isn’t quite clear to me.
4.6.11 lists

(EVACUATION ZONE MULTIPLIER) = ((SLVR)+(EZLP))_1 x ((SLVR)+(EZLP))_2 x ((SDVR)+(EZLP)) x (RK)

Are the _1, _2 meant to signify the multipliers per evac zone level?
If yes, why is this not applied for the dead victim multiplier?

As I understand it the calculation has not changed from 2022, and a simpler
(EVACUATION ZONE MULTIPLIER) = ((SLVR)+(EZLP)) x ((SDVR)+(EZLP)) x (RK)
would be more readable to me/need no clarification of the _1/_2.

Overall, great job on clarifying and better presenting the scoring calculations!

Hi Nico,

Your understanding is correct, the _1 and _2 refer to the evac zone levels. Considering you cannot change the level mid run; your simplified formula works.

I will share your feedback with the rest of the committee and take it into consideration for the final version of the rules.

Thanks for your suggestions and feedback,

Hi,

About the formula for rule 4.6.11
((SLVR)+(EZLP))_1 is the first silver victim
((SLVR)+(EZLP))_2 is the second silver victim
I think it represents Is it wrong?

that’s why
(EVACUATION ZONE MULTIPLIER) = ((SLVR)+(EZLP)) x ((SDVR)+(EZLP)) x (RK)
This formula is for the case where only one silver victim was rescued.

The formula for rescuing two silver victims is
(EVACUATION ZONE MULTIPLIER) = ((SLVR)+(EZLP)) x ((SLVR)+(EZLP)) x ((SDVR)+(EZLP)) x (RK)
or
(EVACUATION ZONE MULTIPLIER) = ((SLVR)+(EZLP))^2 x ((SDVR)+(EZLP)) x (RK)
I think so.
How do you like it

MASA

Thanks @MASA for the clarification.

I talked with the committee and your interpretation of the rules is correct. We made changes to that rule in specific to make it more clear and easier to read. These changes can be found in the final version of the rules published on the oficial website: RCJ Rescue Line – RoboCupJunior

@Nico let us know if there are any questions!
