Black tile placement

Hello,

I have two questions,
1- according to the rules, Black tile can be placed anywhere in the field. will you place black tile exactly before or after a ramp?

2- Imagine a black tile exactly after a blue tile, after the robot comes back again from black to the blue, should it stop for 5 seconds again?

Here are the answer to your questions :slight_smile:

  1. According to the rules, black tiles can be placed anywhere in the field, so I don’t see why we couldn’t add a black tile before/after a ramp :slight_smile:

  2. According to the rules,

“2.2.5.b If a robot visits a blue tile, it has to stop for 5 seconds before being allowed to continue.”

So your robot will do this when entering the blue tile. Then when trying to go forward a black tile will be there but your robot can’t visit the black tile or it will be a lack of progress according to rule

“4.5.1.b a robot visited the black tile. See the definition of visited tile on 4.4.4.”

Therefore, because your robot hasn’t exited the blue tile to explore there is a black tile in front of it, you don’t need to stop again to go back, does that makes sense?
